11th annual Great Willys Picnic, Car Show and Swap Meet

The Great Willys picnic was held at the No. 9 Coal Mine & Museum located at 9 Dock Street, Lansford, PA and has grown into the largest Willys event in the Northeast. The No. 9 Coal Mine & Museum was a great historical and nostalgic setting which complimented the fantastic collection of Willys vehicles on display. From Military to Civilian all types of Willys Jeeps were present. There were several fine examples of FC and Willys trucks on the show field as well. Among these pictures are friends Dave and his brother Tom in front of FC Jeep also our good friend Rich and his M725. As if the Willys vehicles on display were not enough you could visit the museum at the No. 9 Coal Mine. Then see blacksmith demonstrations or take a tour via train down into the mine and see first hand what the miners experienced. Even on this warm summer day it was only 52 degrees in the mine. So if you come out next year to you might want to bring a sweatshirt. Enjoy the pics and video!
