Known issues -
Needs new passenger side locking hub. It will not engage to lock position by hand. So passenger tire will not lock in 4wd. About $170 for a pair of hubs. But does not affect regular driving in anway.
Needs AC parts. When engine was swapped I had to cut the two lower hard lines from condenser as they would not come undone at connector. So needs two hard lines and new condenser. $150 or so to fix. Worked fine up till then.
Small exhaust leak at header/ flange mount. Not at intake port or cracked header. It might just be a loose bolt from when the engine swap was done. Cold weather morning starts it is noticeable, but once it warms up you really don't hear it. No donut flange on these year exhaust systems.
Occasionally the dash cluster will read NO BUS and all gauges go dead. Apparently it is a common thing in TJs. I have dealt with this issue for over 10 years. I have tried everything I read online for fix, but nothing has worked. No issues other than gauges go dead for about 30 seconds or less. No affect on Jeep at all when driving.
I get an airbag light occasionally on dash. It goes off after a few seconds. Just a random issue I have had for many years. No affect on Jeep at all.
Check engine light comes on sometimes due to the O2 sensor and cat being removed. It comes on and off at times. No affect on Jeep at all.
Left rear taillight has a dim brake light when initially pushed. Fast blink turn signal on driver front and rear, when lights are on. Blinks normally when lights are off. Right side is normal all the time. Another thing I have dealt with for over 10 years. Brake light and reverse lights work, just an odd quirk.
Driver side seat has tear on outer edge. Typical wear for the age.
