1965 Jeep Gladiator Pickup Truck with 230 V6 Tornado

This is as rare of a pickup, as complete and ready for restore,
as you can find anywhere.
I got it out of the forest in BC and dragged it here. I got the
engine going after 30 years of its sitting out there. I spent
way more than I'm selling it for so I am pretty firm on the
price. Also, there is no registration at this moment. Got it off
a guy who had just bought the land and it was in his back forty.
There is a declaration of some sort that you/I can do to get it
registered.
Its parts list is complete, less a passenger side door, pushout
window ($70 on Ebay), Chevy fuel tank, aftermarket 4 speed
(originally automatic), and random old lines and hoses that
could use replacing. Other than that, it has all parts, motor,
tranny, frame, rear end, axles, everything. Won't find a better
start to a restore. I even spent 3 months trying to spot an
original Jeep windshield washer fluid bag and got it. That's
right, a bag for washer fluid.
Does not drive due to the clutch needing rebuilt, possibly
restored. Ebay Gladiator clutch rebuild kit is $130. It does run
though.
Also needs brakes rebuilt to run. For a restoration, this isn't
a better start toward a pick up worth $40,000+++ for shows and
events only. She's guaranteed to bring home every 4x4 trophy
available. Do the research you will see.
But if you just want to drive it and show off an antique, it'll
be less than a couple grand in repairs to see her rumbling down
the road legally. I'd rather see it go to a restorer or
mechanic, though, who'll get it to original floor model shape.
15-40 grand will make you the pride of all Jeep owners. The
Gladiator with the Tornado. What happened to the good names of
the past?
Almost no rust. Some on the cab floor, passenger side under
where the window was missing. Indoors now. Pics look like there
is a lot of rust, but it's all moss and surface. Luckily, it was
under a willow while it sat.
Again, it is 99.9% complete. There isn't another in Canada or
possibly even the States that has the original engine running
and isn't already in pieces, or has wrong grill, rear end or
engine. Check it out.
