1957 Willys Jeep CJ5 Unmolested Survivor

For sale is a very nice example of an unmolested early Willys Jeep CJ5. Its a 1957 with just over 14,000 original miles.. Starts, runs, drives, and stops as it should. This would be an incredible piece to do a full restoration on or just enjoy the originality and patina of it and hop in and go just like it is. That was my original intention on this one, just to address a few of the minor rust spots and enjoy it just like it is and was meant to be.

The good: All original F head motor, transmission, transfer case, drive train. Runs great with no issues. Brakes and clutch feel great as well. Frame and springs are in excellent condition. Original body is in excellent condition as well with no major rust issues or damage. There are a few small spots I'd address to keep them from getting worse, and the usual wear and tear of a 60 plus year old Jeep! Original floors are excellent with original drain plugs still intact. Tool box under passenger seat section is excellent as is the rear tub and fender well sections. Windshield frame and tailgate are mint. Windshield frame rubber seals and all original welting are intact and excellent as well. Seats have all been reupholstered and look amazing. All lights work as they should, as do the wipers. Jeep even still has its original rear tail lights which are mint! You just don't see that anymore. Jeep comes with its original set of CJ5 soft top bows which are super hard to find and it has a brand new Beachwood summer bikini type of top included. Jeep looks like it had a hard top on it at one point which I didn't get when I purchased it but it definitely saved the Jeep from the elements and I'd say it's been garaged by looking at it. Jeep also is equipped with a full Power Take Off set up but I'd be happy to sell it with or without the PTO and price will reflect that. The PTO assembly consists of the rear output shifting unit, rear PTO drive shaft, and rear output shaft gearbox unit. New to Jeep items include new battery, rebuilt and converted to 12 volt generator and starter, new bulbs , newly reupholstered seats, rebuilt F head carb, new exhaust , five brand new tires mounted on the original Kelsey Hayes CJ rims which are in great condition with no valve stem or lug hole issues. , oil filter and change. I also have an original owners manual for this Jeep and service manual that will be included.

The bad: The only bad I can find on this Jeep are the very few dents and dings it has and a few very small rust spots. There are a few very tiny holes in drivers floor, and one hat channel under drivers side floor has a few holes in it but the rest of the hat channels are original and in very good condition. There are two small rust spots at rear of jeep on either side of each tail light, and a dent in drivers side rear corner of jeep. I'm not addressing any of these issues before it sells because i want to show it in its original unmolested state and I'm not trying to hide anything from the next owner. This Jeep is not a rust bucket by any means! The Jeep likes to mark its spot as most old Jeeps do and if I were to keep it I'd at some point give it a once over and track down the leaks and give em some new seals. Front bumper has a dent in it but also an easy fix and I may even have another one here I'd be happy to throw in with extra parts. I do also have a bunch of extra CJ5 parts I will be putting together for the new owner to have.
