1978 Jeep CJ5
There is a lot of work that has gone into the restoration though not complete.
This is an antique 1978 CJ5 jeep with an inline 6 cylinder 4.2 liter engine. I bought with around 80,000 miles has rolled over to 17,000 miles (total 117,000 miles). It has been my daily driver for 5 years.
Within the last 30,000 miles I have
1) Rebuilt the transmission
2) Rebuilt the brake system
3) Replaced various gaskets and seals eliminating most leaks
4) Replaced the engine fan
5) Replaced the water pump
6) Replaced all seats and added a center console
7) Refinished the tub with a waterproof rubberized paint
8) Rebuilt the windshield wiper system
9) Replaced the tires (still plenty of tread on them)
10) New battery
11) Much more as well
I have a full soft top though it's not in the best condition. It currently sports a Best Top bikini top. I also have a chrome front grill attachment as well.
There is minor rust in the usual location.
